Gain critical insights as we unpack key differences and explore how to cultivate a more empathetic mindset through lived experience.
Since launching Empathy Uprise ® a little over four years ago, I have been on the roller coaster of a lifetime.
1,520+ days into the slog, I no longer feel the pain of rejection and lean into the genius of my mentor's suggestion that "90% of this work is disappointment, 10% unbridled joy." As always, his sentiment is spot on, and that is precisely what I felt when I learned in late November, after a 10-month wait, that AAE Speakers Bureau had accepted my application.
I learned a while ago to celebrate every victory, regardless of size. How do you honor wins and overcome perceived loss?
